Christopher Martin
Hello, my name is Christopher Martin. I am 12 years old and live in New Jersey. When I first discovered the koyaproject, I got excited because their mission is aligned with one of my favorite sayings…
“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish and feed him for life.”
Now my mission is to support the koyaproject so we can help more children getting educated in how to feed themselves for life.
Please help me in supporting my mission

Christopher
Proven as a dedicated leader and influential role model in his past work within the non-profit sector, Koya Project is proud to announce Christopher Martin as an International Youth Ambassador.
As the youngest ambassador for Koya Project with a passion for helping others, Chris will utilize his talents of outreach to play a critical role in raising awareness, advocating, and fundraising on behalf of the organization.
Founded by humanitarian and business mogul Michael Hensel in 2016, Koya Project is focused on empowering whole communities across the world by leveraging sustainable farming practices.
Through the construction of education training centers and aquaponics systems, Koya Project’s core values are to solve food shortages, improve nutrition, and create a disciple culture of education to initiate a generational shift for those in marginalized communities.
Christopher's background
As an active participant in charitable programs, Martin has a history of donating to various soup kitchens from coast-to-coast. He was involved in helping individuals affected by Hurricane Sandy, a destructive Atlantic storm that is currently the fourth-costliest hurricane in United States history.
Martin also created “Swim for the Cure,”a charity established to help children diagnosed with cancer.”Christopher believes every child should have the opportunity to live a healthy and happy life, and does not see a limit to the possibilities in helping others as a young humanitarian with a benevolent heart. He is compassionate and has an enormous amount of empathy for others especially those less fortunate.”
Why Aquaponics?
By constructing food production system that recirculates water and require no soil… school and communities can achieve chemical and pesticide-free outputs such as edible fish, vegetables, fruits, and herbs … while using significantly less water, space, and energy then traditional agriculture!
About koyaproject
In addition to ongoing impact within the U.S., Koya Project has established a fundraising goal of $2.4 million over the next two years to support global expansion into five countries – educating at least 6,000 children and adults. If only 10% of the graduates applied the knowledge in their communities, an additional 2,400 family members would have access to nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables. Koya Project’s foundational principle is to help people, help each other.
