Edwin Markham Middle School (Los Angeles, CA)

Located in the Watts community about 15 miles south of downtown LA in a notorious "food desert", Koya Project is collaborating with Community Healing Gardens under a Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) green project. We are revitalizing a historic plot of land by building 1-2 instructional systems for residential and commercial applications, enhancing the overall agricultural garden.

Pistor Middle School (Tucson, AZ)

1/2 of a US-Mexico Border Dual-Project Initiative located about 60 miles north of the Mexican border, Koya Project has established partnership with Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) to utilize the school grounds for the construction of a feature aquaponics system with the dedicated namesake of local war hero, Chris Moon, often referred to as the “Pat Tillman of Tucson.”
